Yeah thats Kelsey from TS Bunbury on the left and me on the right. We've just finished our passing out parade where people always tend to 'pass out'! The ACT was so much fun and I met so many great people; from TS Morrow: Matt, Jodie, Ashlea, Shelley, Stevie and Kiandra, from TS Vancouver: Holly and Antony, from TS Pilbara and Broome: Jesse and Annabelle, from TS Marmion: Rachel and Lara, from TS Anzac: Megan, Fazza, Amiee and Naomi and from TS Mandurah and Bunbury: Rachel, Emma, Emmalin and Jellii. If you haven't already guessed I'm in navy cadets and also if you don't know what ACT stands for it's Annual Continuous Tranning. The one I just went to though was the AB (Able Seaman) and above ACT which means you can choose a specialist course and I did the Musicians one. Basically in the Musicians Course you learn how to play navy drum solos one to ten (Woo! Tough work!). Another part of the course was to play an instrument that is in the navy bands such as flute, which is what I play. This means along with doing an assessment on side drum, bass drum and tenor drum you have to do an assessment on your other instrument. Unfortunately on the course we did not have enough time for me to do the extra assessment so I only received my Drum Corp badge insted of the Musicians badge. Although nobody else but me would have gotten it anyway so i guess it doesn't matter.
